Paintings on Paper

Having a bit of fun taking advantage of some studio space I am working on with the Yeovil Creatives in advance of Somerset Open Studios in September.

Really appreciate being able to take these into a different context and step back from them a bit.

The large pieces are on this lovely roll of Fabriano paper I've got, perfect for working big but not necessarily taking up the space of a canvas in the studio at home. 

The blue painting is really inspired by seaswimming and following up that urge to try and capture the perfect experience being submerged by saltwater, the sun shining and the water calm and clear.

I've come to really enjoy painting on paper, it's a different mindset because I love the movement and texture of canvas but this is a growing part of my work process.
